Kensington Gardens, London

Kensington Gardens is one of London’s eight Royal Parks. It extends 242 acres and was originally part of Henry VIII’s vast deer chase called Hyde Park. Kensington Palace, set amongst the lawns and trees of Kensington Gardens, was the birthplace of Queen Victoria. She lived in Kensington Palace until she became queen in 1837.

(My thanks to the Royal Parks for information.)
